So you are heading to Disney World, and you are ready to pack! Here’s some travel items that we usually take along to make our stay more magical!
Wet Wipes: always come in handy when you are eating a Mickey Bar!
Rain Ponchos: you are heading to Florida, and that means you might run into a little afternoon rain storm. We found rain ponchos at Target or Walmart for around a dollar each. They are the perfect size to throw into your bag or purse.
A Sharpie Pen: these work great when you are getting character’s autographs. We found it easier for Mickey to grab a thick pen. But we would recommend buying an autograph book at Disney. They are not that expensive and make a great keepsake!
Travel first aid kit: you just never know when you might need a band aid.
Comfortable walking shoes: you are going to be walking a lot. Sometimes flip flops just don’t cut it!
Ziplock Bags: we use these for a number of things from keeping your cell phone dry when you are on a water ride, to carrying around uneaten snacks.
Hand Held Fan: Let’s face it Florida is hot, especially when waiting in line for a ride. You can usually find little hand held fans, or better yet a sprayer water bottle, to keep you cool. We found these at Walgreen’s…how cute!
Portable phone charger: you are going to be taking a lot of photos with your phone, don’t get stuck with a dead phone. These portable battery chargers work great and Disney is getting good at providing charging ports around the parks.
Downy Wrinkle Free: Let’s face it, packing means wrinkles, and you don’t want to spend time ironing. A few sprays of this on your clothes and you are good to go! Travel sizes are available at most stores.
Disney Gift Cards: We always take some Disney gift cards with us on every trip. Our strategy is to purchase one or two a month up until we leave, then we have extra spending money for our trip. Great way to buy food, souvenirs and Disney merchandise! And if you are a Sam’s club member they offer a discount on their Disney Gift cards. Check your local Sam’s club for more info.
