One of our favorite times to visit Walt Disney World is during the spring, specifically for Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival! After spending many long dreary grey months in Ohio, Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is just what we need to get rid of our cabin fever! We have to say that this is one of our favorite festivals at Epcot because it smells so good!
Running February 28 through May 28 2018, the Flower and Garden festival is filled with beautiful magical topiaries, garden destinations, a butterfly house, tours, kid’s activities, a free Garden Rocks Concert Series and some yummy fresh tastes at 15 different Outdoor Kitchens!
mmmm…a little taste from Canada at the Northern Bloom booth. We tried the seared scallops with french green beans and brown butter, the beef tenderloin tips and stop by the Refreshment Port next door for the Poutine which is french fries covered in Canadian cheddar cheese and cheese curds! Delicious!
A stop at Germany featured the potato pancakes with house made apple sauce and a toasted pretzel bread topped with black forest ham and melted Gruyere cheese.
Here’s a Cheers tip: Use some Disney gift cards at the The outdoor kitchens for lunch or dinner. You get a little taste of some incredible fresh dishes along with some great drinks for a low price! Like this Maple popcorn shake…with or without whiskey…let me just say this was delicious!
But the real reason we like going is for the topiaries! Of course this gives us plenty of ideas of how we would like our gardens to look back at home! Here’s a few we loved!
So if you are planning a spring break, there’s nothing better than a getaway to Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. It’s fun for the whole family! Find out more at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/epcot-international-flower-and-garden-festival/
