We just got word that Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open back up this summer!
Temporarily closed back in October 2018, the area has gone through an extensive refurbishment and will now include elements of the Lion King!
So you have never heard of Rafiki’s Planet Watch? You are missing out! It’s one of our favorite things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, especially when we need to cool off!
The only way to get to Rafiki’s Planet Watch is to take the Wildlife Express Train ride.
Once you board, you’ll slowly travel behind the scenes of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and see where they keep some of the animals!
Once you arrive and exit the train you’ll follow a path, it’s about a 5-7 minute walk…just look for Rafiki, he will point you in the right direction!
You will know you have arrived when you see the big animal collage on top of the building!
Inside there are educational exhibits, a conservation station and you can even observe veterinarians taking care of some of the animals!
Outside there is the Affection Section, a gentle animal petting zoo!
We can’t wait to see what will be new at Rafiki’s Planet Watch this summer!
Cheers for Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
